Associate Rewards

Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

JOB PURPOSE:

Provides specialist support and technical expertise to conduct, review and ensure all EGA’s jobs are analysed, described, and evaluated effectively and efficiently in line with the corporate policies and procedures so that the size of each job can be determined fairly and accurately as a basis for grading, reward and other purposes whilst supporting the design and implementation of a comprehensive reward framework ensuring that is internally equitable and externally competitive, in order to improve the attraction and retention of high performers and achieve the overall HC strategy for EGA.

Supporting Strategy Implementation

Supports the development and updating of the rewards framework and procedures in line with EGA’s policies and procedures.

Team Engagement

• Provides guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues and conducts knowledge sharing to facilitate achievement of team objectives and completion of tasks in an efficient manner which is consistent with operating procedures and policy.
• Promotes the organization’s values and ethics in all activities within the team to support the establishment of a value drive culture within the organization.

Budgeting and Financial Performance

Monitors the financial performance of a given area of activity versus budgets and ensures all activities are carried out in line with the approved guidelines while promptly reporting on any variances to management.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Provides inputs and implements policies, systems, and procedure so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements, fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.
• Conducts effective communication of department’s policies and practices to the employees.
• Regularly reviews, critiques, and benchmarks the policies and proposes revisions as required.
• Ensures compliance to the process and standards set – section, department and EGA.

Day- to-day Operations

• Provides specialist support and technical expertise in assigned areas to assists in the day-to-day operations of the Compensation & Benefits Design section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.
• Provides specialist support in the preparation of analytical forecasts, benchmarks, reports, and presentations on C&B projects.

Compensation & Benefits

• Participates in the development of the compensation strategies in line with the market to ensure the attraction and retention of talent.
• Contributes to undertaking compensation and benefits surveys and assists in recommending changes to the compensation structures based on the results of the benchmarking studies and other analyses to ensure market competitiveness and the retention/attraction of talent.

Job Analysis & Evaluation Process

• Leads in the development, updating and maintenance of all EGA job descriptions in conjunction with job area owners and ensures effective analysis of job accountabilities and requirements to ensure roles and responsibilities are aligned with functional needs.
• Reviews the relativity between jobs by identifying potential overlaps in accountabilities in the job descriptions.
• Acts as focal point of reference in association with line manager in liaising with the external consultant in the job evaluation of all roles within EGA and provides support and advice relating to job evaluation to business stakeholders, employees, and internal departments such as recruitment to ensure accurate relativities to jobs, effective communication to employees and improve employee morale and retention.
• Provides coordinating support to facilitate the quarterly occurrence of Job Evaluation Panel meetings and follows up on the implementation of all approved actions.
• Recommends ways to improve the existing job evaluation processes to make them more effective and efficient in line with EGA’s overall objectives.
• Maintains the Job Library with up-to-date job grades and job titles.

Human Capital Policies

• Develops, updates, and aligns all HC policies.
• Collaborates with Shared Services team to develop and provide communications on HC policies.
• Consults across EGA to understand strategies at the organization and business unit levels to align HC policies to meet the needs of the business.

Human Capital Systems

Utilizes the latest of HR Technology and System to achieve the highest level of accuracy and customer satisfaction, by automation of key Organization Design areas such as, organization design, job descriptions, organization changes.

Recognition & Incentive Programs

Contributes to the development and regularly updates award programs including spot pay to recognise the significant achievements of meritorious employees and motivate them appropriately.

Coordination

Conducts regular interaction with HC BPs and business to provide analytical and specialist support.

Environment, Health & Safety

Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, health and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls.

Continuous Improvement

Participates in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

Reporting

Prepares sectional statements and reports timely and accurately to meet EGA and department requirements, policies, and quality standard

Authority/ Decision making:

Thinking within clearly defined procedures, precedents, and objectives, under general direction. Subject to general direction and defined functional policy objectives. Actions which will impact other functional or operating areas usually require approval before they may be implemented.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources
• Reward Certification would be preferable

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant experience in the following areas:
• Reward design (review, analysis and recommendation of salary scales or allowances)
• Benchmarking submission and analysis
• Incentive / Recognition design
• Medical Insurance / Life Insurance Management
• Job Evaluation
• Organisation Design
• System Automation / Integration
• Policy Management
